Sulzer: Supervision by Vicoma for plant in Morocco

About the Project

The success of any project often hinges on the precision of its execution. For this reason, Sulzer entrusted Vicoma with the supervision of a major maintenance project in Morocco. With one of our experienced project managers leading the effort, the industrial production plant is now fully operational once again.
Sulzer, a Swiss company renowned for the maintenance of industrial installations worldwide, undertook a significant maintenance project at a large plant in Morocco. The task involved overhauling one of six steam turbines. In parallel, several operational processes were upgraded:

the installation of a new control and automation system (including actuators), replacement of oil pumps, new thermal and acoustic insulation, and a new turning gear system.

Vicoma’s Role

Sulzer requested that we provide a project manager to oversee and coordinate the works, liaising between Dutch and local contractors. Vicoma gladly took on the challenge. One of our project managers successfully led the effort, ensuring the various activities were executed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

Result

Thanks to Vicoma’s project management, the plant has resumed full operation. We regularly supply experienced project managers; both in the Netherlands and internationally. Our specialists are adaptable and capable of overseeing a wide range of assignments, from complete relocations of technical installations to safety improvements on production lines.
