About the Project
To replace an existing 13 kV and 50 kV distribution station, Stedin commissioned us to design a new combined distribution station on an adjacent plot of land. We supported Stedin by conducting a feasibility study and producing the design, assisting in the land acquisition process. Throughout the project, Vicoma managed the client’s requirements, including securing the necessary environmental permits and ensuring smooth price and contract negotiations. Our intensive supervision during construction, combined with thorough aftercare post-completion, ensured the project’s success.
Vicoma’s Role
Occupying a key position in the project, Vicoma opted to work with BIM (Building Information Modelling). Using a carefully developed protocol, various consultants exchanged information within one integrated architectural model. By attentively listening to the client and precisely translating their requirements into the architectural model, we enhanced the design quality early on. This approach ensured that scheduling, costs, multidisciplinary integration, and architectural quality were secured from the outset.
Result
The effective collaboration across disciplines and seamless data exchange resulted in a functional and visually appealing building that perfectly accommodates the electrical installations it houses.
