About the Project
RDC, the regional distribution centre in Born, is strategically located just off the A2 highway. Vicoma designed five logistics buildings totalling nearly 68,000 m². The client’s brief was clear: create a flexible distribution centre that could accommodate one or multiple users. Additionally, DHG entrusted us with full project oversight to ensure a hassle-free process for them.
Vicoma’s Role
We developed the design and handled all technical detailing. Our team prepared the documentation required for the environmental permit application and managed its submission. Based on our detailed specifications, the project was tendered successfully. We also took responsibility for contract and project management and provided construction supervision throughout the building phase.
Result
The outcome is a set of high-quality distribution buildings with low operating costs, completed within budget. The execution standard is excellent, with materials and amenities meeting today’s demanding criteria. Responsible energy consumption was a key focus, resulting in reduced energy use and lower periodic operational expenses.
