A renovated tank terminal featuring a new dock, designed to accommodate both sea and inland vessels. Together with LBC, we enhanced the flexibility of their terminal in the Botlek.
Vicoma’s Role
Vicoma carried out the detailed design of the dock structure and laid the foundations for the new tank pits as well as the piping and coupling systems. Designing tank terminals is well within Vicoma’s expertise. Under our leadership, terminals have previously been constructed in the Port of Rotterdam. We managed all engineering disciplines there,
from process and piping to civil, mechanical and structural steel.
Result
With this expansion and modernisation of the existing LBC Tank Terminal, the company has future-proofed its facility. The renovated terminal features loading points connected to both existing and new tank pits via a flexible piping network. This adaptable system enables LBC to meet any future customer demands, irrespective of the products stored.
