About the Project

When there is a need to increase capacity, it is often possible to find space for an extension. However, every production site eventually reaches its limits. So, what do you do then: build a new or redesign the existing layout?

Vicoma is frequently asked to develop redesigns of factory layouts. In many cases, we achieve significant production expansion within the same footprint by optimising the production process and making more efficient use of the available space. We streamline conveyor belts and production lines and design logical routing for incoming and outgoing goods. With our experience, we can transform a “patchwork” layout into a modern, efficient production environment.

Vicoma’s Role

We often find that clients want to avoid jeopardising production continuity during the redesign. We make this possible by completing the redesign in phases. Although this process may take a little longer, it prevents the need for a complete production shutdown; a major advantage, since halting production can be very costly.
