About the Project
Through the “DC Seinehaven” project, which we completed in collaboration with developer DHG,
we were introduced to Klevenberg. Their request was clear: “We want a building similar to DC Seinehaven, but we don’t want to rent; we want to own our own facility.” DHG and Klevenberg agreed on a turnkey contract, with Vicoma appointed to provide construction management on behalf of DHG.
Vicoma’s Role
On the plot at Bunschotenweg in Rotterdam, a high-density logistics facility was developed. The basic layout and choice of materials from the DC Seinehaven project formed the foundation for this turnkey agreement. Throughout the process, we closely integrated Klevenberg’s specific user requirements, involving the future occupant from the outset.
Their brief included a cold storage area, a freezer room, three storage vaults for hazardous materials, and an extensive office fit-out package. Vicoma ensured the full integration of architectural and technical specifications during execution.
Result
The project progressed smoothly thanks to Klevenberg’s early involvement. The complete fit-out package was incorporated seamlessly into the building, eliminating the need for any demolition or retrofitting after handover. As a result, Klevenberg was able to commence operations immediately upon completion.
