About the Project
Safety is a top priority at Enecogen. The energy plant required two permanent, safe access routes to the roofs of two existing buildings, as regular inspection work is carried out there. With the chosen permanent solution, the roofs will remain accessible at all times, eliminating the need for costly scaffolding erection and removal.
Vicoma’s Role
Vicoma presented several design proposals to Enecogen. After consultation with the client, the preferred solution was further developed and subsequently implemented. During the engineering phase, we conducted scans and measurements and produced detailed 2D and 3D drawings. We also supported the building permit application process and managed procurement. Additionally, we carried out design and verification calculations and supervised the project’s execution.
A partner selected by us was responsible for production and installation. We reviewed the working drawings and junction calculations prepared by the partner and performed the final inspection upon completion.
Result
Permanent safety was achieved through the installation of new roof access routes. Enecogen was able to commission the new access routes on schedule. Our solution will generate significant cost savings in the future, as scaffolding will no longer be necessary for roof access. The smooth collaboration ensured a successful project; one we were pleased to be involved in.
