About the Project
The German Bauhaus was keen to open a new branch in North Holland. On a plot owned by Dura Vermeer in Cruquius, we collaborated on the development of a new DIY store. Dura Vermeer commissioned us to technically elaborate the design for the permitting process, aiming to secure the permit immediately after the zoning plan procedure was completed.
Vicoma’s Role
We validated the Bauhaus design, ensuring full compliance with specific Dutch regulations and the draft zoning plan. The design was fully developed in 3D and submitted for approval to facilitate a smooth permitting process.
Result
Vicoma played a key role in preparing for Bauhaus’s further market expansion in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, due to insurmountable objections to the proposed zoning plan amendment, the project could not proceed. Nonetheless, the project provided us with valuable insights into the local construction market.
